-----ENGLISH VERSION
At SKEMA, students can take part in various artistic activities, including dance. The classes are led by Laetitia Bonnet, a modern jazz teacher. This style combines jazz technique with contemporary influences, and is characterized by fluid, rounded movements and a strong connection to the floor, which sometimes makes it close to modern dance.
Originally from Toulouse, Laetitia Bonnet has been dancing since the age of three. At a young age, she chose a sport-study program in order to continue dancing while pursuing her education. She later joined the Rosella Hightower National Dance School (PNSD) in Cannes, where she graduated in 2017. After her training, she worked for a time as a dancer in Paris before deciding to turn to teaching, as she was more interested in pedagogy and sharing her passion.
She has been teaching jazz for about ten years and settled on the French Riviera in 2019. For the past three years, she has been teaching in a school in Saint-Laurent-du-Var and another in Grasse. She has also been teaching at SKEMA since September, where she leads a group of students with very different backgrounds and levels.
The classes bring together students of different experience levels. Some have already practiced dance, while others are complete beginners. Despite these differences, the atmosphere is described as very positive and supportive. Students encourage each other, stay motivated, and are not afraid to repeat exercises in order to improve. For many of them, the dance class is an enjoyable moment during the week, allowing them to relax while learning something new.
A dance show is currently being considered for the end of the year with the SKEMA group. The performance could take place during the charity gala organized by the student humanitarian association Hope, depending on the number of participants and the event organization. This project would allow students to present their work and share their passion with an audience.
Through these classes, Laetitia Bonnetâs main goal is to share the joy of dancing while creating a space where everyone can progress at their own pace in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
