Le basket à SKEMA Paris

Une grande victoire pour l’équipe masculine de basket lors de son premier match de la saison qui s’est déroulé jeudi 9 novembre au gymnase Berty Albrecht à Suresnes. Avec un score de 47 à 35 contre INALCO, c'est un début prometteur ! Participant au championnat universitaire de 3^e Division, l’équipe SKEMA a pour objectif de terminer en tête de cette première phase du championnat, afin de participer à la poule haute de la 2^ème phase.

Le capitaine de l’équipe, Khalil Ezzine, a tout mis en œuvre pour créer un esprit d’équipe lors du match en rappelant aux joueurs qu’il fallait avoir confiance les uns envers les autres et en mettant en valeur l’importance de la communication dans la team. Pour Khalil, l’homme du match a été Vincent Menez en raison de son excellent esprit d'équipe tout au long du match, ainsi que pour sa performance remarquable en tant que meilleur marqueur.

Joffrey Moncomble, professeur et coach de la team, souligne que le basket favorise le développement de "softs skills" utiles dans la formation d’un manager, tels que : s'intégrer au sein d'un collectif, apporter son temps et son énergie dans la poursuite d'un objectif commun, prendre des initiatives et assumer des rôles différents au sein d'un groupe. De plus, le basket permet d'aborder des activités extra-sportives, comme la recherche de sponsors et l’organisation de matchs d'exhibition en collaboration avec le groupe de cheerleaders de l'école. Dans le contexte du jeu, la complexité des déplacements sur le terrain exige des joueurs une prise de décision rapide et le développement de compétences d’anticipation. Mais au-delà de la compétition, certains élèves viennent simplement dans une démarche de découverte et de plaisir.

Le prochain match est prévu pour le 23 novembre contre Pôle Léonard de Vinci à 14H au gymnase Berty Albrecht à Suresnes, l’équipe ambitieuse sera sur le terrain pour gagner.

A great victory for the men's basketball team in their first match of the season, held on Thursday 9th November at the Berty Albrecht sports hall in Suresnes. With a score of 47-35 against INALCO, it's a promising start! Competing in the 3rd Division of the university championship, SKEMA’s team aims to finish at the lead of this first phase of the championship, in order to advance to the higher pool in the 2nd phase.

Team captain, Khalil Ezzine, made every effort to encourage a sense of team spirit during the match by reminding players to trust each other and by emphasising the importance of communication within the team. For Khalil, the man of the match was Vincent Menez, due to his excellent teamwork throughout the match, as well as for his remarkable performance as top scorer.

Joffrey Moncomble, teacher and the team's coach, highlights the use of basketball in the development of 'soft skills', essential in the of shaping a responsible manager, notably the ability to integrate into a group, the dedication of time and energy towards a common goal, the taking of initiatives, and assumption of different roles within a group. Basketball additionally offers opportunities for engaging in various non-sportive activities such as seeking sponsors and the organisation of exhibition matches in collaboration with the school's cheerleading group. Furthermore, the complexity of movements on the court demands from the players quick decision-making and the development of anticipatory skills. However, beyond the competitive aspect, some students participate simply to discover and enjoy the sport of basketball.
