Hike and discovery - Paris

Publié il y a 4 mois par Vincent SIMARD

Hello SKEMA Students!

Since September 2021, Paris' campus has launched the Hike and Discovery class. Led by Quentin Johnston, this sport class aims at discovering Paris and its surroundings on foot.🚶

The course involves 5 hikes a semester (one every two weeks) on Saturday mornings until the afternoon. The goal of the Hike and Discovery class is not to perform a swift walk but to discover the French capital, its landscapes, streets, places, little paths, big avenues, nearby cities, and so on. 🗼🏙

Each trek takes around 3 hours to walk between 8 and 10 kilometers. Yes, discovering Paris constitutes a great opportunity, but you'll practice some physical exercising as well! The course supervisors will not make guide tours but will bring in some interesting info about the and city some tips for students. If you want to practice Hike and Discovery, you'll experience a sharing, warm and convivial atmosphere. This activity aims at pleasing every participant.

For the first semester of 2022, 3 hikes will take place in Paris and the two other ones will take place in Fontainebleau and Versailles. The routes are designed by your teachers, either following famous monuments or unusual sites. The treks usually follow themes (street art, modern art, etc.) that allow students to discover the diversity in Paris and its surroundings. 🎨

Your guides will give you the opportunity to end your walks by going into small Parisian restaurants, bars or brasseries to enjoy a drink or two together. 🍻

Do not hesitate to test this activity!
